Now that all the entries for the aMAZEing comp is in, I thought I'd share my algorithm for randomly generated Pac-Man like maze. Note that this is probably not the most efficient nor optimized way of doing things, but may give a starting point for anyone else wishing to create a game using this algorithm.
The language I will be using here is BlitzMax. Originally, I used Monkey2, but figured more here will be familiar with BlitzMax, so I have converted the code. It also gives me the opportunity to format things in a more understandable way instead of the mess I originally wrote in Monkey.
If you wish to learn more about procedural maze generation, I would recommend the book "Mazes for Programmers, Code Your Own Twisty Little Passages" by Jamis Buck.
